A third-person shooter built around the LEGO Bionicle characters. You move through themed worlds blasting enemies and scenery, with almost everything breaking apart into LEGO studs that you collect as you go. The central mechanic is mask swapping: picking up a hero's mask switches you to that character, and each one carries a different weapon and ability, so progress means changing heroes to deal with particular enemies and obstacles. Filling a meter lets you unleash a temporary powered-up state with stronger firepower. Worlds end in boss fights against the villains of the toy line, and collected studs unlock upgrades and extras between levels. Aiming and shooting are handled with a reticle, and the pace stays brisk, with waves of enemies and destructible environments throughout.
