A 3D fighting game featuring mutant and heavily modified combatants. Matches take place in enclosed arenas, and fighters can rise off the ground and hover, which adds vertical movement to the usual punching, kicking and special-move exchanges. Attacks can strip pieces off opponents as damage accumulates, and the arena walls themselves factor into the fighting. You select from a cast of engineered characters with differing reach, weapons and abilities, then fight one-on-one bouts against the computer or another player. The presentation uses polygonal fighters and arenas rather than sprites, with a grim, industrial visual style. Controls follow fighting-game conventions of directional inputs combined with attack buttons, layered with the flight mechanic that lets you break away and reposition mid-round.
