CSI: 3 Dimensions of Murder is an adventure game based on the CBS crime drama, presented as a series of self-contained cases. You work as a new investigator paired with members of the show's crime lab team, moving through a case in stages: sweep the crime scene for physical evidence, photograph and collect what you find, then take samples back to the lab for analysis. Tools include fingerprint powder, luminol, swabs and comparison microscopes, and results feed into interviews with suspects and witnesses whose statements you can challenge with the evidence in hand. Progress is driven by observation and deduction rather than action, and each case closes when you assemble enough proof to identify and charge the culprit. The interface is cursor-driven, adapted for the PlayStation 2 controller.
