Grandia III is a turn-based role-playing game for the PlayStation 2. You follow Yuki, a young pilot-in-training obsessed with flight, and Alfina, a girl with the ability to commune with the Guardians, as their journeys join together and take them across the world. Battles use the series' familiar system: characters and enemies move along a turn gauge, and positioning matters, since you can interrupt or cancel an enemy's action by striking at the right moment. Combos, aerial attacks and special moves can be chained together, and weapons and magic skills improve as you use them. Exploration alternates between overworld travel, towns where you gather information and equipment, and dungeons, with story sequences delivered through fully voiced cutscenes and animated character art.
