Happy Feet on PlayStation 2 is an action game based on the animated film about Mumble, an emperor penguin who tap dances rather than sings. You control Mumble through levels set in and around the Antarctic ice, mixing platforming and movement challenges with rhythm-based dance sequences where you match on-screen prompts to the music. Some stages have you sliding and swimming through icy terrain, dodging hazards and larger predators, while others focus on performing routines in time with the beat. Characters and locations follow the film, and the presentation leans on its soundtrack and penguin cast. The controls and objectives are kept straightforward, and the difficulty is pitched toward younger players and families rather than experienced action fans.
