Luxor: Pharaoh's Challenge is a puzzle game in the marble-shooter style, wrapped in an ancient Egyptian theme. Chains of coloured spheres travel along a winding path toward an exit at the bottom of the screen, and you fire spheres from a launcher to create groups of three or more of the same colour, which then vanish. Clearing groups can trigger chain reactions, and letting the chain reach the end costs you a life. Levels are arranged into a series of stages set against Egyptian backdrops, with power-ups that appear as you clear spheres and help you slow, reverse or destroy sections of the chain. The rules are simple to pick up, with difficulty rising through faster and longer sphere chains.
