This PlayStation 2 boxing game adapts the Rocky films into 3D bouts. You play as Rocky Balboa and face opponents drawn from the series, fighting in rings modelled on locations from the movies. Punches are split between quick jabs and heavier power shots, with blocking, dodging and clinching available, and fights end by knockout, technical stoppage or decision. A film-based progression mode strings fights together with training sessions between them, where you build attributes such as strength, speed and stamina to prepare for tougher opponents. There are also modes for one-off matches and head-to-head play against another person. Fighter models and animations aim to recreate the look of the films, and music and presentation lean on the series' familiar imagery.
