Shrek Super Party is a multiplayer party game built around a board-style layout and a collection of short minigames. Up to four players take control of characters from the Shrek films, moving around a game board space by space and competing in quick contests along the way. The minigames cover a range of simple challenges, from timing and button-mashing tests to short races and contests of accuracy, and results on the board determine who comes out ahead over the course of a match. Boards and visual themes draw on swamp, castle and fairy-tale settings from the movies. Computer-controlled opponents can fill empty slots, so the game can be played solo, though it is designed with local group play in mind. Controls are kept straightforward so newcomers can join in.
