Worldwide Soccer 97 is a football game for the Sega Saturn, part of Sega's Worldwide Soccer series. It uses polygonal players on a 3D pitch with camera angles that follow play up and down the field. You control an international side through friendly matches, tournament play and penalty shootouts, passing, crossing and shooting with a small set of buttons while the CPU handles player switching off the ball. Match options let you adjust the length of halves and difficulty, and there are formations and tactics to set before kick-off. Presentation includes crowd noise, commentary-style audio cues and replays of goals. The pace is arcade-leaning rather than heavily simulation-focused, with an emphasis on quick attacking play and readable animation.
This listing is for an authentic original disc — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
