The Dreamcast was Sega's last home console and it still has a devoted following, thanks to a library built around arcade-quality conversions, fighting games and genuinely strange ideas that nobody else was publishing. It shipped with a modem, used GD-ROM discs, and its VMU memory card doubled as a tiny second screen. The commercial run was short, which makes the library compact and unusually consistent. Titles listed here include Soul Calibur, Crazy Taxi, Jet Grind Radio, Shenmue, Power Stone and Marvel vs Capcom, plus Sonic Shuffle, Space Channel 5 and Resident Evil Code Veronica-era horror releases such as Resident Evil 3 Nemesis. The console's online services closed long ago, so treat network features as historical, but local multiplayer and single-player modes work as they always did.
