Army Men RTS is a real-time strategy game set in the plastic-soldier world of the series. You gather resources, build structures and produce units, then send squads of green troops against the Tan army across mission maps. Resources are drawn from plastic and electricity, which feed base construction and unit production, and your forces range from rifle infantry and grenadiers to flamethrower troops, mortars, tanks and aircraft. Sarge appears as a hero unit alongside the regular ranks. Maps are set in human-scale environments such as gardens, kitchens and workshops, where household objects become terrain and hazards. Missions mix base-building with objective-driven skirmishes and rescue or escort tasks. Alongside the campaign, the GameCube release supports skirmish play against computer opponents.
