Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus is an expanded version of Accent Core for the PlayStation 2, developed by Arc System Works. The fighting system is the series standard: five attack buttons, air dashes, Faultless Defense, Roman Cancels, Tension-fuelled Overdrives, Force Breaks and Instant Kills, all performed by hand-drawn fighters on side-view stages with a rock soundtrack. Compared with Accent Core, this release broadens the single-player content, with a story mode presenting branching scenarios for the cast, along with additional missions and survival play. The roster covers the XX line-up including Sol Badguy, Ky Kiske, Millia Rage and Potemkin. Two players can fight locally, and training options are available for practising combos and defensive setups. Character colours and other unlockables are earned through play.
