Invizimals is a PlayStation Portable game built around the system's camera accessory. The premise is that invisible creatures live in the real world, and by pointing the camera at your surroundings you track, trap and capture them, using a printed marker placed on a surface to anchor the creature in the on-screen view of your room. Captured Invizimals are then trained and used in one-on-one battles, with elemental types and learned moves determining how matchups play out. Progress is framed by live-action video segments in which characters explain the hunt for the creatures. Different capture minigames use the camera in various ways, sometimes asking you to find particular colours or lighting conditions. Local wireless play lets two owners battle their collections against each other.
