Men in Black II: Alien Escape is a third-person shooter for PlayStation 2 tied to the film. You take the role of an MiB agent working through mission-based levels, moving through city streets, facilities and other locations while shooting alien targets with agency weaponry. Enemies come in waves and varying types, and you pick up and switch between different guns as you progress, each with its own firing behaviour. Levels are broken up by briefings that set out your objectives, and boss-style encounters against larger aliens punctuate the campaign. The presentation draws on the look of the films, with the black-suited agents, their gadgets and their sunglasses in place. Play is focused on straightforward action and aiming rather than stealth or exploration.
