Metal Arms: Glitch in the System is a third-person shooter set on a world populated entirely by robots. You play as Glitch, a small combat bot dug out of a scrapheap who joins a resistance movement against a mechanised army. Play centres on combat with a varied arsenal, including weapons that use scrap and salvaged parts as ammunition, and gadgets such as remote-controlled spider bots and a tether that lets you hijack certain enemy robots and pilot them directly. Levels mix open firefights with platforming, environmental puzzles and vehicle sections. Defeated enemies drop bolts, the game's currency, which can be spent on ammunition and upgrades at vending machines scattered through the stages. The presentation is cartoon-styled, with a wisecracking script and destructible robotic enemies that come apart as you shoot them.
