The PlayStation 2 version of this licensed Monster Jam game puts you behind the wheel of official monster trucks in arena-based events. Courses are packed with dirt jumps, ramps and rows of scrap cars to flatten, and events range from racing against rival trucks on short, tight circuits to freestyle runs scored on jumps, air time and stunts. The trucks are heavy and bouncy, with exaggerated suspension travel, so timing your landings and avoiding rollovers is a large part of the challenge. Finishing events opens up additional trucks and venues. The game follows the look of the televised tour, with stadium environments, crowds and authentic truck designs, and supports split-screen play for a second player.
