MotoGP 08 is a licensed motorcycle racing game based on the MotoGP world championship. You compete on grand prix circuits against a field of AI riders, tuning your bike's setup and learning braking points and racing lines through corners. Because the bikes lean rather than simply turn, cornering asks for smoother inputs than a car racer, and throttle control matters when accelerating out of slow bends. The game includes single races and a season-style championship structure, with adjustable difficulty and driving aids so you can dial in how much of the physics you handle yourself. The PlayStation 2 release supports multiplayer on one console via split screen. Presentation follows a televised motorsport style, with track-side detail, on-screen timing and position information, and rider and machine liveries drawn from the licence.
