An action game for PlayStation 2 based on the Naruto series. You control Naruto in third-person combat, moving through mission-based stages and fighting groups of enemies with taijutsu combos, thrown weapons and ninjutsu techniques. Chakra is spent on special moves, so you balance offense against your remaining reserves during longer fights. Between assignments you can explore the village area, talk to characters and take on requests, and you unlock and equip new skills and support items as you progress. Bosses and rival ninja from the series appear as opponents in set-piece encounters. Presentation follows the anime, with cel-shaded character models, voiced dialogue and story sequences that frame each mission. Controls are built around a mix of light attacks, dodges and quick technique inputs rather than fighting-game style matches.
