Pool Paradise is a cue sports game for GameCube set on a tropical island resort. Rather than a plain menu of tables, it frames play as a loose adventure: you wander the island, take on the local characters at various games and wager money on the results, using winnings to unlock further opponents and challenges. Supported disciplines include standard pool rule sets along with trick-shot and novelty challenges. Shot-making uses an aiming line with adjustable power, spin and elevation, and the physics-focused presentation shows the table in 3D with adjustable camera angles. Alongside the single-player island progression there is multiplayer for playing against friends on one console. The tone is relaxed and the structure allows either quick individual matches or the longer money-based career.
