An open-world Spider-Man action game for the PlayStation 2, following the story of the 2004 film. The whole of Manhattan is traversable, and web-swinging is physics-driven: lines attach to real buildings, so speed and control come from timing your releases and chaining swings, wall-runs, and web zips. Story missions advance the film's plot, while the city continuously throws up optional incidents such as robberies, runaway vehicles, and civilians in trouble. Handling them earns hero points, which you spend on upgrades to combat moves, swing techniques, and health. Fighting mixes melee combos with web moves that let you bind, pull, or throw enemies and objects. Rooftop tokens, race challenges, and hidden pickups give reasons to explore between missions, and you can free-roam the city at any time.
