The second Splinter Cell game, running on GameCube as a third-person stealth campaign. You play as Sam Fisher, sent into a series of international locations to track a terrorist threat. Play centres on remaining unseen: sticking to unlit areas, shooting out lights, listening to guards and choosing when to slip past or subdue them. Fisher uses night vision and thermal goggles, a silenced pistol and a rifle, along with gadgets for distraction and non-lethal takedowns. His movement set includes wall hugging, ledge climbing, rappelling and the split jump, and enemies can be grabbed, interrogated for information and then hidden. Mission objectives typically involve reaching a target, retrieving information or eliminating a specific threat, with detection often forcing a restart from a checkpoint.
