Syphon Filter: Dark Mirror is a third-person stealth action game starring agent Gabe Logan. You move through international locations on covert missions, using cover, silenced weapons and quiet takedowns where possible and open firefights where not. The signature taser returns alongside an arsenal of rifles, pistols and explosives, with attachments and specialised ammunition types for different situations. Vision modes such as night vision and thermal imaging help you scout guards and locate objectives in dark environments, and you can peek and shoot from behind cover using a targeting view. Objectives are delivered by radio and often develop as a mission unfolds. The story concerns a covert operation and the conspiracy surrounding it, told through cutscenes between and during the campaign's missions.
