WCW Backstage Assault is a wrestling game based on World Championship Wrestling that moves the fighting out of the ring entirely. Every match takes place in a backstage environment such as a parking lot, loading dock or arena corridor, where the surroundings themselves become part of the fight. Crates, tools and other objects scattered around each area can be picked up and used as weapons, and the environments have hazards to shove opponents into. Matches are won by damaging specific body parts rather than by pinfalls in a squared circle. The roster is drawn from WCW's television talent of the period, and a create-a-wrestler feature lets you build your own competitor with customizable appearance and moves. A career-style mode strings matches together as you work through the promotion.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
