Golden Sun is a turn-based role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance. You play as Isaac, a young Adept who can wield Psynergy, and travel across a continent with a small party to stop the elemental lighthouses of Alchemy from being lit. Battles use menu-driven commands with weapons, items, spells and Summon attacks, and much of the depth comes from Djinn: elemental creatures you collect and equip to change a character's class, stats and available abilities, and which can be unleashed in combat for extra effects. Psynergy also works outside of battle, letting you move objects, reveal hidden paths, freeze water and lift barriers to solve environmental puzzles in towns and dungeons. The game features 3D-styled effects, animated spell sequences and extended dialogue-driven story scenes.
