OutRun 2019 is a high-speed driving game for the Sega Genesis with a futuristic presentation in place of the original OutRun's open-top sports car. You race along a series of stages from a behind-the-car view, weaving through traffic and scenery at speed while a timer counts down toward the next checkpoint. Reaching a checkpoint extends the clock and lets you continue; running out ends the run. A boost lets you push well beyond normal top speed, at the cost of making oncoming traffic and roadside hazards far harder to react to. Handling is arcade-style rather than simulated, so success comes from memorising the layout of each stretch of road and picking clean lines through the gaps.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
