Pokemon Ruby is a role-playing game for the Game Boy Advance set in the region of Hoenn. You start as a new trainer, choose a first Pokemon, and travel the region catching wild species, training your team, and defeating Gym Leaders to collect badges before challenging the Pokemon League. Battles are turn-based and revolve around type matchups, move selection, and stat growth, with double battles against two opponents at once featuring in the series here. Pokemon also have Abilities and Natures that affect how they perform. The story involves a criminal organisation pursuing a legendary Pokemon, with Team Magma taking the leading role in this version. Some species are exclusive to Ruby, so trading with Sapphire or another cartridge is needed to complete the Pokedex. Link cable play supports trading and battling.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
