A Sega Genesis game based on the film The Lawnmower Man, mixing several styles of play across its stages. Some sections are side-scrolling, with running, jumping, and climbing through laboratory and building interiors, while others place you inside a computer-generated space for shooting and flying sequences shown from a forward-facing perspective. Stages are presented in sequence, and the shift between on-foot platforming and the virtual-reality segments gives the game a varied structure rather than a single consistent format. Digitised imagery and cutscene screens tie the levels to the movie's plot about a man transformed by virtual reality experiments. Controls use the standard Genesis pad, with the shooting sections relying on aiming and dodging obstacles as the view scrolls forward.
