Metal Head is a mech action game for the Sega 32X, using the add-on's extra processing power to render fully polygonal environments. You pilot a bipedal war machine from a first-person cockpit view, moving through city streets and industrial areas while engaging enemy mechs, vehicles and emplacements. The heads-up display tracks targeting, damage and weapon status, and combat involves managing ranged fire while strafing and turning to keep hostiles in view. Levels are structured as a series of combat missions with objectives to clear before advancing. The flat-shaded 3D visuals and slower, weighty movement reflect the mech theme rather than fast arcade shooting. It stands as one of the 32X titles built specifically to show what the hardware could do with texture and polygon work.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
