Virtua Fighter on the Sega 32X is a conversion of Sega's polygonal 3D fighting game. Fights take place in a square ring viewed from the side, with characters rendered as flat-shaded polygon models rather than sprites. Combat uses three buttons for punch, kick and guard, with throws, sweeps and reversals built around timing and spacing instead of motion-heavy special move inputs. Because the arena has boundaries, pushing an opponent out of the ring wins the round, making positioning as important as damage. The roster includes fighters such as Akira, Sarah, Jacky, Lau, Pai, Wolf, Jeffry and Kage, each with a distinct martial arts style and move list. The 32X add-on hardware handles the 3D rendering for this home version of the arcade original.
This listing is for an authentic original cartridge — no reproductions. Every product we sell is cleaned and tested before it ships, and our games are backed by a 1-year warranty. Choose Game Only or Complete (CIB) above.
