This Wii version of Happy Feet adapts the animated film in which Mumble, an emperor penguin, expresses himself through tap dancing instead of song. Gameplay alternates between guiding Mumble through Antarctic environments hrough and sliding and platforming across ice, and rhythm sequences where you follow prompts in time with the music. The Wii release makes use of motion controls for the dance routines and some of the movement segments, so timing gestures with the remote plays a part alongside standard button presses. Locations and supporting characters are drawn from the film, and the soundtrack carries much of the presentation. Objectives are clearly signposted and the overall challenge is aimed at younger players and family play rather than at experienced action gamers.
