Baseball Advance is a Major League Baseball game for the Game Boy Advance, using real league teams and player names. Play centers on a traditional behind-the-plate pitching and batting view, with pitch selection and placement on the mound, timed swings at the plate, and manual control of fielders once the ball is in play. You can also make substitutions and manage your lineup and pitching staff between innings. Modes cover single exhibition games as well as longer play that carries results forward, with battery-backed saving so a run can be continued across sessions. Presentation uses detailed sprite-based players and stadium backdrops rather than 3D graphics. A link cable option allows head-to-head games between two systems.
