Bookworm is a word puzzle game for the Game Boy Advance, based on the PopCap computer game. A grid of hexagonal letter tiles fills the screen and you build words by linking adjacent letters, with longer and less common words scoring more. Cleared tiles are replaced from above, keeping the grid full and the play continuous. Burning red tiles appear as you progress and steadily work their way down the board; if one reaches the bottom, the game ends, so clearing them becomes the main source of pressure. Bonus gem and gold tiles reward higher-value words. Lex, the bookworm mascot, comments on your progress. Play is single-player and suits short sessions, with a built-in dictionary determining which words are accepted.
