Cocoto Kart Racer is a kart racing game starring the cartoon characters of the Cocoto series, including the small red imp who gives the games their name. You pick a driver and race around themed tracks, drifting through corners and collecting pick-ups scattered along the road. Those pick-ups give you offensive and defensive items to fire at rivals or protect your own position, so races often come down to jockeying for place in the closing stretch as much as pure driving skill. The Wii version uses the remote for steering as well as supporting more traditional control options. Alongside single-player racing, there is multiplayer for playing against others on the same screen. The bright, simple presentation is pitched at younger players and family play.
