Confidential Mission is a light gun rail shooter with a spy theme, converted from the arcade to the Dreamcast. You take the role of a secret agent working to stop a criminal organisation, moving automatically through stages while you aim at enemies, shoot incoming projectiles and reload by moving your aim off screen. Stages take place in locations such as a casino, a military base and a space facility, and civilians appear among the targets, so shots need to be picked carefully. Boss encounters cap off missions, and hidden items reward players who scan the scenery. Between stages there are short minigame-style sections testing accuracy and reaction speed. The game can be played with a light gun peripheral or with the standard controller, and it supports two players together.
