A Dreamcast conversion of Capcom's survival horror sequel set in Raccoon City during a viral outbreak. You play as rookie police officer Leon S. Kennedy or college student Claire Redfield, each with their own scenario that covers the same events from a different angle, so completing one and then starting the other's story changes what you encounter. The game uses fixed camera angles over pre-rendered backdrops with character models rendered in 3D. Play centres on exploring the police station, sewers and laboratory, managing limited ammunition and healing items, finding keys and emblems, and solving puzzles to open new areas. Ink ribbons and typewriters handle saving. Zombies, mutated dogs and larger creatures block your progress, and item boxes let you shuffle equipment between rooms.
