DK King of Swing is a Donkey Kong game built around an unusual control scheme: instead of a jump button, you use the L and R shoulder buttons to grab pegs set into the walls and swing Donkey Kong from one to the next. Momentum carries him across gaps, up vertical shafts and past hazards, and letting go at the right moment launches him through the air. Stages are climbing-and-traversal puzzles as much as platforming, with bananas and medals to collect and bosses that use the same peg-grabbing mechanics. Alongside the main quest there are minigames and competitive modes that pit characters against each other in short challenges. The presentation uses bright, chunky sprite art and the familiar Donkey Kong cast.
