Duck Tales on Game Boy is a side-scrolling platformer starring Scrooge McDuck, adapted from the animated series. Scrooge travels the world hunting for treasure, using his cane as both a pogo stick to bounce on enemies and reach higher ground and a golf club to knock loose blocks and objects at hazards. Stages are set in distinct locations and can be tackled in the order you choose, each hiding money, gems and secret rooms behind breakable walls and hidden passages. Learning to chain pogo hops is central to moving through the trickier platforming sections and crossing spikes and pits. Boss encounters cap off the levels, and the treasure you collect along the way feeds into your final total. The Game Boy version presents the game in monochrome on a smaller screen.
