Golden Sun: The Lost Age continues the story of the first Golden Sun on Game Boy Advance, this time following Felix and his companions as the conflict over the elemental lighthouses and Alchemy plays out. Combat remains turn-based, with weapons, items, Psynergy spells, Summons and the Djinn system that lets you reassign elemental creatures to change each character's class and abilities. Field Psynergy is again used for puzzles, moving blocks, growing plants and clearing obstacles in dungeons and towns. This entry opens up more of the world map and adds sea travel by ship, giving access to optional islands, hidden dungeons and extra Djinn and Summons. Players who finished the first game can carry data forward using a link cable or a password system, which affects items, statistics and story details in the sequel.
