Great Golf is a golf game for the Sega Master System, part of Sega's early run of simply titled sports releases for the console. Play follows the standard format of the era: you select a club, judge distance and direction against wind and terrain, then set power and accuracy with a swing meter before watching the shot play out. The view switches between an overhead look at the hole layout and a behind-the-golfer perspective for each stroke, with putting handled on a green display showing the slope and distance to the cup. You work your way around the course counting strokes against par. Controls are limited to the Master System pad, keeping the interface straightforward and the pace unhurried.
