This Game Boy Advance version of Jet Grind Radio adapts Sega's graffiti-and-skating series to a handheld format. You control a member of a rollerblading crew, grinding rails, riding walls and building momentum through connected city districts while spraying tags over rival gangs' marks and dodging police pursuit. Instead of the console games' 3D camera, the action is presented from a fixed overhead-style viewpoint, with levels laid out as skate-friendly urban environments to learn and route through. Tagging spots requires reaching them and completing a spray input, and finishing a stage generally means covering every mark before the heat gets too high. Unlockable characters and graffiti designs add variety, and the soundtrack keeps the series' emphasis on upbeat street music within the hardware's audio limits.
