Magical Quest 3 Starring Mickey and Donald is a side-scrolling platformer released on Game Boy Advance as part of Capcom's Disney Magical Quest series. You choose to play as either Mickey Mouse or Donald Duck and work through themed stages, jumping between platforms, avoiding hazards and defeating enemies before facing a boss at the end of each area. The central mechanic is costume changing: swapping outfits gives your character different abilities used both for attacking and for reaching areas that are otherwise inaccessible, so progress depends on picking the right one for the situation. Enemies can be grabbed and thrown as well as struck. Presentation uses bright cartoon sprites and animation drawn from the Disney characters, with a story told through short cutscenes between stages.
