Magical Tetris Challenge is a puzzle game for the Nintendo 64 that pairs standard Tetris play with Disney characters. Pieces fall into the well and you rotate and place them to complete lines, with the speed increasing as you go. The Disney element comes from Magical Tetris mode, which introduces oversized and unusually shaped pieces and magic effects that can disrupt an opponent's playfield, adding an attacking element to head-to-head matches. A story mode has you playing as one of several Disney characters, including Mickey Mouse, in a series of versus matches linked by short cartoon-style scenes and character portraits that react to the action. Two players can also compete directly. Presentation is colorful and cartoon-styled, with the traditional Tetris rules intact underneath.
