Mario Pinball Land is a pinball game for the Game Boy Advance in which Mario himself becomes the ball. Rather than a single table, the game is built from a series of connected pinball rooms set in Mario-themed locations, and you launch Mario between them through exits at the top of each screen. Flippers at the bottom keep him in play, and hitting enemies, blocks and switches clears objectives, opens paths and reveals items. Boss rooms require repeated direct hits on the enemy to progress. Falling past the flippers costs a life and can send you back through earlier areas. The vertical screen layout scrolls as Mario travels up and down a table, and coins and collectibles gathered along the way go toward unlocking further areas.
