Michael Jackson: The Experience on Wii is a music and dance game built around the singer's catalogue. You hold the Wii Remote and follow an on-screen dancer, matching choreography as arrow and gesture prompts scroll past, with your accuracy scored move by move. Tracks are presented as recreations of Jackson's routines, using costumes, backdrops and staging drawn from his videos and performances, and songs unlock as you progress. Difficulty settings let you attempt simplified versions of routines or take on longer, denser step patterns, and players can trade off or dance alongside one another. The game is designed to be played standing in an open space rather than seated, and it works as a step-following exercise as much as a score chase.
