The Peace Keepers is a side-scrolling beat 'em up for the Super Nintendo, part of the Rushing Beat series. You pick a fighter and move through urban and industrial stages, punching, throwing and grappling waves of enemies before facing a boss. Each character has a different build and move set, with heavier bruisers trading speed for reach and power, and you can pick up dropped weapons and objects to use against crowds. The story is told between stages and branches, so choices at certain points send you down different routes toward different endings. Two players can fight side by side in co-operative play, and there is also a mode for battling each other directly. Special attacks and throws drive the combat rather than long combo strings.
