Plasma Sword: Nightmare of Bilstein is a 3D weapon-based fighting game from Capcom and the follow-up to Star Gladiator. Matches take place in enclosed arenas where you can move and sidestep in three dimensions while trading sword strikes, throws and special attacks. The science-fiction cast wields energy blades and other exotic weapons, and each fighter has access to Plasma Field and other meter-driven techniques for extended combos and powerful finishers. Beyond the standard one-on-one and versus play, the game includes character-specific story progression with branching paths and endings depending on how you perform. The Dreamcast version presents the polygonal fighters and space-opera stages at higher resolution than earlier hardware, and supports two players competing head to head on one console.
