Pokemon Battle Revolution is a Wii game focused entirely on Pokemon battles, with no overworld to explore or wild Pokemon to catch. You compete across a series of themed colosseums, each with its own rules, opponents and challenges, working through them to unlock further content. Battles use the turn-based Pokemon combat system with 3D models and camera work built for the television screen. The game includes rental Pokemon teams, but it is designed to connect with the Nintendo DS games Pokemon Diamond and Pearl, letting you send your own trained teams to the Wii and battle with them. Wireless play supports matches against other trainers, and Wii Remote or DS-based control options are available for issuing commands during battles.
