A Nintendo DS role-playing game set in the Unova region, released alongside Pokemon Black. The story follows your journey through Unova's gyms and Elite Four while Team Plasma, led by the mysterious N, argues publicly that Pokemon should be freed from their trainers. The initial Pokedex is made up entirely of Pokemon new to the series, so most encounters are unfamiliar even to longtime players. Battles introduce Triple Battles and Rotation Battles alongside standard single and double formats, and season changes affect the appearance of some areas and which Pokemon appear. Reshiram is the Legendary Pokemon tied to this version, and White features White Forest, where wild Pokemon can be found among the residents. The C-Gear handles wireless trading, battling and communication features.
