Rhythm Heaven is a collection of short rhythm games for the Nintendo DS, played almost entirely with the stylus. Each activity teaches a simple pattern of taps, flicks and holds, then asks you to keep time with the music as the routine varies and visual cues drop away. Subjects are deliberately odd, ranging from everyday chores to sports and performance sketches, and each is scored at the end with feedback that can unlock a harder variant or a bonus. Sets of games are grouped into stages that finish with a remix combining earlier routines into one continuous sequence. The DS is held sideways like a book for play. Additional unlockables include toys, songs and rhythm-based extras that open up as you clear more of the game.
