Run Saber is a side-scrolling action game for the Super Nintendo in which you fight through a ruined future Earth as a sword-wielding cyborg warrior. You pick between two playable characters, each armed with blades for close-quarters attacks plus a special move, and you can climb, dash and cling to surfaces as you work through each stage. Levels are built around waves of mutants and machines, hazardous terrain and a boss fight at the end, and power-ups upgrade your attack as you go. Two players can take part at the same time in co-operative play, sharing the screen against the same enemies. The style is heavily influenced by fast, arcade-flavoured platform action, with pixel-art industrial and organic environments and steadily increasing difficulty.
